MamaCycle UG
A simple, private, and free reproductive period and pregnancy tracking app built for women in Uganda.
The Problem
Women in Uganda lacked a simple, private, and culturally relevant way to track their menstrual cycles and pregnancies, especially in areas with poor internet connectivity. Access to trusted health information and qualified professionals was also limited.
The Solution
Built an offline-first Progressive Web App (PWA) that allows users to track cycles, log symptoms, and read health articles without an internet connection. Integrated dual-language support (Luganda and English) and a direct feature to contact qualified health workers.
The Results
Empowered local women with a reliable, private health tool that works anywhere. The multilingual support and direct access to health professionals significantly improved health literacy and user trust.
